I wanted to be honest. I wanted to tell the truth. I wanted to address the things we're all afraid we'll lose. So I thought I was being brave when I stepped up and wrote a song, but I got ghosts that haunt me and everything I was proud of.
The day I turned 22, Kyle was drunk on the couch. I fell into his arms and I cried my eyes out. It took me six whole months to realize all the love that I need can fit inside an Astro van or stays the night at Harmon Street.
And I can't seem to live the way that I want to. But if I keep my eyes on the truth, then maybe someone will see me stumble through. And honesty could help a heart or two. That's all I am trying to do.
Micah moved to Illinois to marry the girl of his drams, but I'm staying away from that state because so far I am 0-3. Patrick's getting married too. Seems like everyone is going down that path. Maybe I'm just jealous because I can't find a love that will last.
